On a normal Monday morning Bladen Box, the Mansfield print and display experts experienced a power cut, interrupting the start of their week. When the power came back on it caused a surge, and the telephone system failed to operate. A call came into Dalys Service desk at 9.30am asking for assistance. Our Service Desk engineers spent time to diagnose the state of the system and to ascertain whether there was a possibility of a repair but as no electrical surge protector or uninterruptible power supply (UPS) unit was in place in this case, the surge of power had damaged the CPU.
Within a very short space of time, a replacement specification was agreed with the customer, and our engineer was on his way to install the new system. Our engineer, Sahel, completed the installation and programming and by 4.30pm and business was back to normal, with a brand new, efficient phone system in place.
