Race goers raise money for Charity
2nd June 2008 - 12:00am
An afternoon at Leicester Races was greatly enjoyed by local companies and their guests.
The event was held on Monday 2 June in the exclusive Club Room at the Leicester Racecourse; over 100 guests were treated to an excellent lunch and an afternoon of some very exciting racing. The afternoon’s highlights included a raffle in support of LOROS raising a grand total of £485, which was presented to Diane Morris, Fundraising Manager for LOROS.
The raffle had some super prizes and the winners were:
Martin Roberts - ASAP
Mike Ward – Enterprise Rent a Car (pictured below with Diane Morris of LOROS)
James Baxter – James Baxter Haulage
Dennis Cooper – Wyggeston Hospital

The two winners of the business card draw were Gary Boydell from Maber who won a Sat Nav, Roger Platt from Crowfoot Accountants who won a headset.
The 2008 ‘Champion Tipster’ trophy was awarded to Kevin Sheppard of Autohaus who skilfully predicted the most winners with the best odds. (Pictured below right, with Rex Kellet of K & S Imaging & Display and Nicola Joyce from Dalys)

Along with Dalys the other hosts on the day were Leicester based, CSL who provide businesses with copy and print solutions, Torr Waterfield business and personal accountants and Bear IT, who supply, install and support IT infrastructures, and are based in Nottingham.
(Apart from a brief spell where Dalys brollies were required the weather was very kind to us!)
