Two members of Daly Systems Maintenance and Engineering team, Rebecca Parkinson and Rob Castleman and, along with friend Liz Harrold took part in a static line parachute jump on 24 September 2006 to raise money for cancer research.

The Leicester based communications company chose to raise funds for The Hope Foundation for Cancer Research during 2006, Daly’s 10th Anniversary year, and is hoping to raise a substantial amount of money for this very worthy cause.

The intrepid three were joined by three daring members of staff (Vicky Gaskell, Ebony Utting and Natalie Bodsworth) from the Leicester office of the Hope Foundation’s solicitors, Freeth Cartwright, one of the East Midlands’ most prominent law firms. The group have raised an impressive total of over £2100.

After they were all safely back on solid ground, Vicki said “it was an amazing experience and a fantastic opportunity to raise money for Hope”. Rebecca commented, ”it was unbelievable, an incredible experience and a really exciting way to raise money for the Hope Foundation, ‘thank you’ to everyone who supported us.”

The Hope Foundation funds cancer research posts at Leicester Royal Infirmary and Leicester University, helping to fight against a disease which could affect any one of us during our lifetime.  For more information about the Leicester and Rutland based charity, please visit www.hfcr.org
