Castle Rock High School State of the art communications for school
As an approved ESPO supplier Daly Systems Limited (DSL) were invited by Leicestershire County Council to submit a tender to supply, install and maintain a telecommunication system in the new premises being built for Castle Rock High School in Coalville, Leicestershire. Malcolm Roe, the DSL Account Manager for ESPO customers was able to recommend the NEC Aspire, which met all the requirements detailed in the Functional Specification the school had submitted; a VoIP solution had been chosen as the preferred option to ensure future-proofing and flexibility for the school. DSL had the ideal solution with the Aspire as this system can be commissioned as a VoIP system, a traditional system or a combination of both, to suit the requirements of any specific location or situation. The school has Cat 6 cabling throughout, therefore, any of the VoIP handsets can be plugged into any of the sockets keeping the identity (extension number) and feature-set of each individual handset, wherever it is located within the school. Auto Attendant gives callers two options, either allowing parents to leave a message to advise of the absence of their child or to be transferred to the receptionist who can then transfer calls to individuals. Integrated voice mail allows messages to be left for individual staff members which they can retrieve by using a personal pin number. Rosemary Baker, Head Teacher, said, “Our 1st meeting with Malcolm Roe was very focused and helpful, with excellent explanations of what we could do and how we could utilise the system’s capabilities. After the system was installed we had an excellent day of training with their trainer, Debbie Gooday, and also received very detailed printed instructions. In fact, all the staff at DSL have been very helpful and responsive.” |
